Shot timer for Android
Cadence – Shot Timer
A shot timer for sport and defensive shooting on your phone. After a random delay it beeps and measures the time to the first shot and the splits between shots. No extra hardware, no account, no internet.
5 training days free, then a one-time purchase. No subscription, no ads.
What Cadence does
Everything happens on the phone: the microphone hears shots, racks and dry-fire trigger clicks, and in laser training the camera sees the hit on a paper target.
Shots, racks and clicks
Detected with the phone's microphone, at the live-fire range and in dry fire at home.
Calibration per gun
Separately for indoor and outdoor ranges and for dry fire at home. Calibration is tied to your phone.
Drills and par time
Bill Drill, El Presidente, Mozambique, draw and rack… plus your own drills with a second beep for par time.
Laser training
The phone on a tripod watches the target. Hits with scores, group size and a picture of the target at every hit.
History and statistics
Fix strings, see trends per gun and drill, always with a table of the same numbers.
Guns and ammo
Gun list without serial numbers, cleaning reminders, ammunition purchases and consumption.
Three looks
Amber, Forest and a bright Daylight look for an outdoor range in the sun.

Frequently asked questions
Does Cadence work with electronic hearing protection?
Yes. The beep always plays from the phone speaker and shots are picked up by the built-in microphone, so ear muffs and headphones are no problem.
Does the app need internet?
No. The app has no internet permission, no accounts, ads or analytics. The full version purchase is handled by Google Play.
Does the app record audio or video?
No. Audio is analysed on the phone in real time and never recorded. In laser training only a picture of the target at each hit is stored, and only on the phone.
How does laser training work?
Put the phone on a tripod, the camera watches a paper target and you drag a frame to the paper corners. A hit is recorded when the laser cartridge flashes, or on the trigger click with an always-on laser. A reduced 50/20 target for A4 paper can be printed right from the app.
Which phones does it run on?
Phones with Android 8.0 or newer. Laser training needs a rear camera.
What is a training day in the trial?
A day on which you save at least one string from the timer or the laser. You can shoot as much as you like that day. The trial has 5 training days and does not expire while you are not training.
